In the middle ages, Clary Sage was known as the ‘Eye of Christ’ and the European native’s use has been widespread for centuries. Clary Sage essential oil can be used where a recipe calls for Sage but the user requires something more gentle.

Indications: Anticonvulsive, antidepressant, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, astringent, carminative, deodorant, digestive, emmenagogue (induces uterine contractions) euphoric, hypotensive (lowers blood pressure) nerve tonic, sedative, stomachic, general tonic.
