Versatile concentrate

A safe, natural blend of pure plant essential oils that are naturally flea-repelling.  Here is a versatile concentrate that you can massage through your dog's coat.  An excellent additive to shampoo (add 5ml to 50ml of Tinderbox Shampoo - Dry Hair) to eradicate fleas.  May be added to the final rinse of bath water or put in a spray bottle well diluted with water (5:100) to treat the infested areas on the dog's body, its bedding and surrounding areas.  Always protect your dog's eyes from direct contact with the spray.  Not to be taken internally.

Daucus carota

The plant Daucus carota originates from Afghanistan and has been mentioned in texts as early as 1^st Century AD by ancient Greek herbalist Dioscorides, who recommended it to rejuvenate the whole body. This essential oil is produced from the dried seeds of the wild carrot (not the cultivated edible vegetable) and should not be confused with a macerated oil made when the carrot material is infused in a base oil. Harmonising, carrot helps to beautify and regenerate the skin.

Aroma: Middle Note

Perfume: Slightly sweet with fresh herbaceous top notes and dry, earthy, quite woody, undertones. The oil is pale yellow in colour.

Blends well with: Bergamot, lemon, lime, neroli, orange, verbena, petitgrain, juniper, rosemary and some spice oils.

Indications: Antiseptic, cytophylactic, carminative (settles stomach) depurative, purifies blood) diuretic, emmenagogic, (regulates menstrual flow) hepatic, (aids liver) tonic, vermifuge, (expels worms) vasodilator and smooth muscle relaxant.

Melaleuca cajuputi / leucadendron

The Cajeput (or Cajuput) oil from the paperbark tree is often called ‘white tree’ oil and is closely related to other members of the melaleuca family including eucalyptus, clove, tea tree and niaouli. It is native to South East Asia and Australia, although the oil is rarely processed in this country.

Aroma: Top Note.

Common Names: Paper Bark tree, white tea tree, white wood, swamp tea tree, Cajeput M. minor, Melaleuca Cajeputi, Cajuput.

Perfume: A medicinal, slightly camphorous scent both herbaceous and penetrating, reminiscent of eucalyptus. There is a faint sweetness born from a mild fruity middle note.

Blends well with: bergamot, clove, geranium, lavender, niaouli, nutmeg, rose and thyme.
