Myristica fragrans

Nutmeg was a much prized spice used throughout history, for numerous medications and also in cooking - including desserts, baking, hot drinks and liqueurs. The essential oil is steam distilled from the worm-eaten nutmeg seed (the worms eat the starch and fat in the seed) to obtain a sweet, warm-spicy scent with a terpene-like top note. Brings warmth and energy and assuages aches when used in liniments and massage blends. Great for a happy gut – stimulating, eases gas, breaks down starch and fats. Stimulating and warming to the chest.

Aroma: Middle Note.

Perfume: Fresh, spicy top note and deep, sweet, warm and woody undertones. Somewhat musky.

Blends well with: lavender, rosemary, black pepper, clary-sage, eucalyptus, ginger, geranium, pettigrain and ylang ylang. Also with the sweeter citrus oils and other spice oils.

DESCRIPTION

Lotus Gluten Flour is a premium form of Vital Wheat protein made from wheat, but with around twice the gluten strength of normal flour. It is used to bake lighter breads and increase elasticity in baking or to make mock meats for plant based diets.

Lotus Gluten Flour is high in protein, non GMO and suitable for vegetarians. Lotus wheat gluten is high in gluten and low in starch. When used as an additive in baking, its purpose is to add elasticity to flours that would otherwise be low in gluten, such as whole wheat flour or rye. It improves the rise of the raw dough and also improves the texture and chewiness of the final product.
